Mariner Calc Spreadsheet for iPhone App Reviews

I use this app on a daily basis. But since the last IOS update I cant read the numbers of the columns and rows. Please update with a bug fix ;)

this app may have great potential...but....no instructions for use. The latest version claims to have settings for startup behavior etc but how do you get to them and set them up??? I hope they improve the support otherwise I feel I got ripped off for $7

I have a number of workload tracking spreadsheets on my Jornada 820 (yeah, ancient, but it has a nearly full-sized keyboard), and my newest laptop doesnt allow me to sync them (wrong connectors). MarinerCalc has saved me from losing the ability to have them in a portable format, and anything that keeps me from having to build the whole thing again from scratch is a winner with me! It has a few quirks Im still getting used to (have to manually resize the height of a cell before word-wrap will display right), but it is well worth the price.

Great application. My main complaint is the amount of time it takes a fifteen row sheet to save and open (at least on the first gen iPhone). It is on the verge of embarassing to wait 5 min for a save button to go away. Other than that I am very impressed with the application. Great job.

Like it, but for the following: Is missing Fill down/right; and wont pick up Cell references by pointing. Makes formulas a pain as you must flip between numeric and alpha keyboards in formulas to enter the cell numbers and sheet numbers to copy values between sheets. Otherwise, I find it useful and better priced than the alternatives (none of which Ive tried, or care to unless i see that the two missing features above are fixed).

Very limited, just trying to open an exsisting file makes this a waste of 4.99. Help text not helpfull

I would like to be able to save an excel email attachment. It is not convenient to go through a WiFi connection to move a spreadsheet from my computer to iphone.

If a spreadsheet for keeping up with your handicap is what you need this will do it and a whole lot more. I followed this for several months prior to it hitting the "store" and paid top dollar for it, and would again. This is a top quality excel type spreadsheet program with ease of transfer to and from computer. If a quick load and work on the plane is what you want without getting out the laptop buy it. At the current price you should include a gratuity. You wont be sorry. Sorry it took so long to post. Thank for the App.

Im not sure what all negativity is about. This app works great with everything I have thrown at it. I beg anyone who has given it a nehadive review to show me an iPhone spreadsheet app that can do half of what this one can. Until then, this is the best available.

I have been using this app for a while. I didnt check the update that occurred two days ago. Now there is no icon to switch to a different sheet in the same file . ( double square icon no longer present )

Ive been using Mariner Calc since the first release and V 3.0 is the best yet, by far. A special note to those who cannot find the icon to change pages on multi-sheet documents: slide the application bar at the bottom - it toggles to the right or left giving you more power and function than youve ever had! Notes: Many functions, like copy, cut and paste, are better laid out on simple menu commands from the tool bar. Selecting a range of cells is easier. Double "tapping" in a cell brings up the keyboard for quick editing of contents. Calc loads my multi-page spreadsheet faster than ever. Now, when I get a phone call, my open and unsaved sheet is waiting for me to resume when I hang up. Emailing seems faster (though I have no objective criteria to prove that. Much improved.

Does just about everything I need it to, especially with the new updates.

Great app. I can send my invoices right from my phone.

Upping to 5 stars due to pilot error. At first I did not see the icon to switch sheets but now I see that the icon bar slides left/right to expose the other functions. iPhones and spreadsheets are not a match made in heaven considerring the available screen real estate but this app makes the most of it. Ill bet the iPad version of Mariner Calc really rocks.

Spreadsheets that use to open fine now just crash app back to desktop since the update.

Cannot open any of my spreadsheets since the update. No response yet to my post on the Mariner software forum.

After the update, it wont even open some of the templates. Just crashes back to the main screen.

At first this app launched perfectly fine but the last version & this version of it will not launch at all. (32gb 3rd ged iPod Touch)

I have waited to post my review of this app until I had a few months to play with it. With the recent iphone software updates, the program started crashing. I just downloaded an update that has fixed the bug. This app is perfect for manipulating data in an Excel spreadsheet.
